Panels & Racks

Organize Instruments and Connections Into a Practical Working Assembly

AES fabricates panels and racks for analytical, sampling, instrumentation, and process automation applications. The assembly can bring specified instruments, valves, regulators, tubing, and electrical components into an organized arrangement built from the project documentation.

What It Is

What Are Instrument Panels and Racks?

An instrument panel provides a mounting surface for components and their connections.

The assembly can bring together:

✓ Instruments
✓ Valves
✓ Regulators
✓ Tubing
✓ Electrical components

Capabilities

Panel and Rack Fabrication Capabilities

Four parts of a panel or rack build, from the structure to repeat-build control.

01

Mounting Structures and Layout Execution

Fabrication follows approved dimensions, mounting patterns, materials, and support details. Equipment orientation and access clearances are coordinated with the intended installation and service requirements.

02

Instrument and Component Assembly

Specified instruments, valves, manifolds, regulators, and associated hardware can be installed according to the approved layout. Customer-supplied components or scoped procurement support can be incorporated into the build plan.

03

Tubing and Wiring Organization

Defined tubing and electrical connections are arranged around the component layout and project requirements. Identification, separation, and connection access should be considered alongside physical fit.

04

Inspection and Repeat-Build Control

Agreed checks verify the completed assembly against the required documentation. Repeat builds should use controlled drawings, component lists, and revision information to maintain consistency across the program.

Operator & Maintenance

Built Around the Operator and Maintenance Task

Share the equipment list, mounting arrangement, process connections, and any clearance requirements for replacing components or operating valves. A compact layout may still need space for tools, calibration connections, and safe access.

For an enclosure-mounted panel, coordinate the panel layout with doors, penetrations, and environmental equipment before either fabrication package is finalized.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Instrument panel beside a rack framework holding multiple panels Ask us anything →

Can AES build from an existing panel drawing?

Yes. Provide the current approved drawing, bill of materials, connection details, and inspection requirements. Confirm any field changes that are not reflected in the original documentation.

Can panels be built for repeat installations?

Yes. A repeat-build scope should define the standard configuration, permitted variations, component availability, and revision process so each delivered assembly matches its intended application.

Does panel fabrication include a certified electrical control panel?

Only if the required certification, construction scope, and responsible provider are explicitly established for the project. An instrument mounting panel and a certified electrical control panel are not interchangeable descriptions.
