Requirements

Oil and Gas Analytical Requirements

Production, processing, and midstream applications can involve different sample compositions and operating conditions.

These may influence whether the sample remains suitable:

✓ Pressure changes
✓ Phase behavior
✓ Transport distance
✓ Sample conditioning

Access & Maintainability

Plan for Access and Maintainability

Provide the site location, access rules, operating conditions, available power and utilities, and required service window. Remote-site work may need additional coordination for equipment delivery, personnel access, and spare parts.

For existing installations, an assessment can help establish whether concerns arise from the analyzer, sample path, utilities, or physical arrangement before a modification is selected.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Separators with sampling points at a production facility Ask us anything →

Can a package support a remote location?

Potentially. Utility availability, environmental conditions, communications requirements, access, and maintenance arrangements must be reviewed to define a suitable package and service scope.

Does AES certify custody-transfer measurements?

This page does not establish custody-transfer certification or approval. Any fiscal measurement duty, required standard, validation method, and responsible authority must be explicitly defined for the project.

Can existing sample tubing be retained during an upgrade?

Only after its materials, condition, pressure and temperature suitability, routing, and compatibility with the new requirements have been reviewed.
